I Am No One Special by Jennifer Pratt-Walter

but like you, a Citizen of Earth.

I will ground and pray

in my old Crone way

as I watch the news.

So much anguish.

Please forgive me,

anyone or anything,

if I have ever caused you to feel

like this: unheard, untethered,

surreal

in a deep chaotic storm,

stained and broken

like old church windows

after thrown bricks.

I cannot do much

but I can teach. I can feel

empathy with what is

hurt and afraid. I can sing.

In my way, like trees

believing they can grow,

I can pray. And as I pray, I sing.
